Materials: (costume) 3 metres of blue polyester, 2 metres of white cotton, blue fabric pens, brown and black leather thong,
brown and tan swede type fabric, metre of leatherette, 48 eyelets (I remember how much exactly as I had to hammer them all in!)
lots of craft foam (sword and shield) fibreglass, polyester resin, putty, gesso, spray paints and acrylic paints.
This has to be my most challenging project yet. Not really the sewing aspect but everything else! It was my first time using craft foam properly so that was an experience in itself since I used it to make the foot armour. The original wig was styled by Jemma but I wrecked it so ended up styling one of my own. Sophitia is really underappreciated, I think. She kicks ass! But for some reason her sister seems more popular. She's great fun to wear but wearing it does make you feel a little immobile, d'oh. The sword and shield were both made out of fibreglass. The sword in particular was a pain to paint because apparently chrome paint takes years to dry!
