This is my first ever, from scratch cosplay! It's kinda simple, I think to look at, but the skirt was fairly difficult. I had a pattern for the top (which was a simplicity I think, I'll fish it out and find the pattern number sometime), but I couldn't find any patterns close to the skirt. So I just kinda went with it! The wings are a bit ghetto, but for my first attempt, it's not so bad! They look okay from a distance and they're sparkly, you can't argue with sparkly. (in the manga they are translucent, unlike the anime)
My friend Jake gave me lots of help on the wand since it was the first prop I made, and it's gone through three different versions (I dropped and broke it at Minamicon 2007) but now I can safely say I'm happy with it and it's as accurate as it can be!
I love Cardcaptor Sakura, and I hope to do an outfit or two more before I get too old to pull her off hehe.
Photoshoot: coming soon
Test shoot:
This is my costume, but unfortunately without the wings and with my old wand. Still, I like how they came out. :) The wig
looks scarily natural on me!
