This was fun to make. Since it has been done a lot in the past there were a lot of tutorials flying around. I found myself an ice skating dress pattern which was a good base. I had to add the hip roll inbetween the seam join between the skirt and the leotard base. I stiffened up the bows with a few layers of interfacing to stop them being all floppy. I'd made a sailor collar before for a very ghetto CCS winter uniform, so that was easy enough. The little brooch was made out of fimo and had a couple of brooch clips attatched to it. I then painted it in acrylic in a yellow/gold colour. I had contimplated on buying the official moon brooch but it was in pink (where it is yellow/gold in the anime) and looked like it would be near impossible to attatch to my bow. The odango covers were more fimo attatched by velcro and then hairclips onto my odangos. The little tiara was bought for me as a present.

Man this outfit brings back a lot of nostalgia. I remember this was the first outfit I ever wanted to make when I discovered what cosplay was. I'm glad I finally got around to it. However I am unhappy with a few bits so it remains 'in progress' till I fix those things and rewear it.
