Minamicon 2008 report
Minamicon started off earlier this year as me and Mark got there on the Thursday. This was nice as it meant I could be in cosplay earlier than I normally bother with on a Friday. Me and my friend Jess got into our Sailor Moon outfits. Mine still needs fixing a bit, the bow was not complying so I had to use a bit of fashion tape to keep it from moving, grr. ~~
It was fun doing a cosplay with Jess and Sailor Moon had been on my list of must do's for a while now, since it was the first magical girl genre anime I had ever watched and I was enthralled with it. The tiara started to dig into my head by later in the day though, must fix that for next time. Met up with a couple of girls in the Sailor Moon group which was nice. Marks friends started to turn up and later in the day we had domino's for dinner. Mmm healthy! Ah well.
Saturday me and Mark got into our Yoko and Kamina costumes, I was so excited about wearing this one! I got a great reception which was nice considering how terrified I was, Mark also made a great Kamina. ;) Entering the masquerade was abit traumatic since I was doing it on my own! But it was great, when the music for Sorairo Days started playing I was away. I won an award, I was really amused as they titled it the "aren't you cold in that?" award. Haha.
By Sunday I didn't cosplay but we chilled out instead. It was nice to hang around with everyone at the bar, all in all it was a great weekend, I didn't get as drunk this year though!
